This is a machine we replaced with a 3000 and has been sitting in storage for a few years. We decided to pull it out and get it going to try and sell. One small problem, it doesnt come to ready. The code on the Main Board is does not exist in my manual. (it looks like an 8 but missing the bottom right segment/ 5) I eventually swapped out the main board, it went into warm up countdown and at about bit 30 then threw a toner density code. I proceeded to check the developer housing connections and the td sensor, found nothing and attempted power on again. At power on I started experiencing the same weird code again and no warm up. Is it possible that the original main board was bad and when I changed it, whatever took it out just did it again?

KIP manual is of no help

anybody else??plz Sad

Sorry to say this, but save yourself time and headaches and take that machine to the scrap yard. That unit is so old and parts are unavailable. There is no market for those older units anymore. How will you support it if you do find someone to buy it? You wont be able to and you will end up pissing off a new customer. Sorry to be harsh, and I know you are a new member, but the Doc always tells it like it is. If you take my advice you will be far better in the long run.

Welcome to the forums also.
