|
|
I set up a 2050 standalone for the first time. The touchscreen says tha the printer is not found with is true as there is no longer a printer with this machine. I looked through the service modes in the manual and did not see a setting for printer presence. Is this just something we have to explain tot he customer or is there a way to get that message turned off? |

The scanner should say "PRINTER OFFLINE" which is normal. There is no way to disable this message. _________________ Surf is up Brudah! |

Actually Mr President, that is not entirely accurate.
(what movie is that line from?)
Here is the procedure for scan mode only.
To Add the ability to start the scanner always in “Scan Mode”.
For use in scanner installations that ONLY use SCAN TO FILE
or POWERPRINT COPYMAKER. This disables COPY MODE !
Backup data No. 294
0: Start with Copy mode (Default)
1: Start with Scan mode (New)
Unable to copy in this mode.
NOTE: When you select “1”( Scan mode ), you cannot enter into Service Mode as
normally performed via the Touch Screen as it will always display SCAN MODE.
Therefore in order to enter Service Mode,
- turn power off
- while pressing the “start button” and “4 buttons, turn power on”.
This will start Copy mode, then enter Service Mode as normally performed. _________________ What we have gained in technology, we have lost in humanity. |
