I have an 1880 which has a blown fuser lamp, and the problem is I am batteling to get hold of one. I have tons of 2900 fuser lamps, but the problem is they are 20watts weaker than the 1880 lamp, and the plugs are different.

Can anyone tell me if I change the plugs from the old 1880 lamp onto the 2900 lamp, could this work, even temporarily?

Thank you

You could try but the main thing is this means it going to take longer to heat up the question is this is the gate time for the machine to go into low temp error open long enought for the diffents what you may have to do is turn machine on wait a few min then turn it off and them back on to reset the timer and if they run a lot of plots it could have a problem kepting the heat up. it is worth a try what have you realy got to lose is kip out of lamps ?
