You don't really need the pads. Just get a bottle of silicone oil and soak the old pads. Much cheaper. You can get the oil from repro-interational.

Problem solved. It seems the old PLP Scorpion card is not compatible with the new 8000 firmware. Installed a new card and all is well.

Sorry for not posting sooner. In an act of desperation we took out the controller and reseated the boards and connectors. all has been ok ever since. Hope this helps.
