| there is no solution to the outer nails wearing out sooner especially if you run a lot of 30" paper. |

i recommend replacing the whole unit
this is cheaper than replacing all the gears, bearings, etc
if the shaft has broken off or worn -- it is because the 2 gears have probably never been replaced wh ... |

FYI
found the answer to the E-49 codes which were happening to 1 particular user -- he would pull the drawer open to soon and yank the paper out instead of letting the machine back the paper out!! -- ... |

THE DREADED DEVELOPER UNIT
i just took apart one of the units shipped out in Sept-Oct of last year
and the bias plate for the dev roller was broken ... |

i keep getting the E-49 error which has to do with the dev unit
have spaced the brackets from the cams and put lubricant under the dev unit - seemed to work for awhile, but ... |

i tried third party toner in our 8000's when we had them
did not get the same yield actually used more toner
the machines ran dirtier, which seemed to cut the life of the drum and fuser not to ment ... |

the upper drive assy can be ordered as a whole assy part# 7708067320
this is more cost effective and you dont have to order individual parts
also ... |

2 of the machines threw this error after doing the developer upgrade
2 of the machines did not
i was never able to get rid of this, just turned the feature off
can not figure out ... |
