When I upgraded 3 8000s to 6.0, I had to confirm in the Unattend ini file that the cold start time and cold stop time were correct (blank).

The new XPE HD had settings I didn't want.

How far apart is the double image?

I have seen upper fuser rollers with no visible problems (lines, toner marks, etc. . .) ghost like that before.

That's where I would look.

I never actually resolved the problem (of editing the file) even with the correct permissions, etc. . ., but I have a functional workaround and I can now print plotfiles.

I was actually trying to convert DWF to TIFF or TLC and when I click on the DWF in Request, it calls it an unrecognized file type.
