This is typical when the scanner hasn't been calibrated in a while. Or sometimes I can manipulate the scans by turning auto exposure off and change the threshold setting. |

Also you could modify the untd.ini file. If you have KIP Request loaded you also have a program called VNC viewer. Launch program. it will ask you for tcpip address and the password is kip. Hold down ... |

I had the same issue on another 7100 scanner. I connected my laptop using the same scanner utility as for the 3100 (version 1.51) and that took care of the problem. |

To date I've had 3 motherboards for Kip controllers reworked with new capacitors with 100% success. I left him 1 more today to have rework. |

I went to a company in Eden Prairie named Proto Service. The 1 board I had redone, had 2 capacitors that were visibly bad . They only charged me $20.00 for the work. Also they did it while I waited ... |
